Raid 5 Data Recovery

Raid stands for redundant array of inexpensive disk and there are five high powered discs on which Raid 5 data is evenly placed. The hardware which supports Raid 5 data are known as adapters. Computations are done on every disc with this hardware. Equal blocks in the same stripe are made by each disc of Raid 5 which has blocks jot down on it. Every block consists of many sectors in sequence. On every disc, these blocks are orderly organized and are known as a ‘stripe’.

Parity information helps the data on the broken disc to reconstruct itself. Data recovery is possible only when the software re establishes the array. At last, scanning of the disc is initiated which in turn recover the date from the file system.
